Some Lesser Known Facts About Shreyas Puranik
Shreyas Puranik is an Indian singer, music composer, and songwriter known for his work in the Hindi film industry.
He grew up in Nagpur, Maharashtra. In 2008, he moved to Mumbai to pursue a career in singing. There, he underwent formal training in music under playback singer Suresh Wadkar.
He wanted to become a singer since childhood. He revealed in an interview that he began singing when he was three years old.
He began performing in live shows while studying in college.

He made his Bollywood debut with the film âBajirao Mastaniâ (2015) for which he worked as an assistant music director to Sanjay Leela Bhansali . He composed and sang the song âAb Tohe Jane Na Doongiâ for the film. He also created music for another song from the film titled âGajanana.â
He continued to work with Bhansali as an assistant music director on the Hindi films âPadmaavatâ in 2017 and âGangubai Kathiawadiâ in 2022.

In 2016, Puranik composed the title track of Riteish Deshmukh âs Marathi TV reality show âVikta Ka Uttar.â The TV show was broadcasted on the channel Star Pravah.
He worked as a singer, music composer, and lyricist for the Hindi music video âMain Hoon Teraâ in 2018. It was his first music video. He uploaded the music video on his YouTube channel âShreyas Puranik.â
Apart from Hindi films, he has also created music for a few Marathi films such as âPhotoCopyâ (2016), âLapachhapiâ (2016), and âFaster Feneâ (2017).

Puranic composed music and sang the song âNadh Khulaâ from the 2019 Hindi film âMalaal.â He also did a rap in the song âAila Reâ from the film.
In 2019, he worked as a music composer for the Hindi music video âYaad Teri.â The song was sung by Rahul Vaidya .
In the same year, he created the music for the Hindi devotion music video âShiv Shankara,â sung by Sonu Nigam .
