She began working as a model for Toabh Talents in Mumbai on 22 July 2019.

In April 2024, Shinnova claimed through one of her social media accounts that actor-politician Ravi Kishan was her biological father. She then filed a civil claim in a Mumbai court and requested a DNA test to confirm her claim.
In the claim, she wanted official recognition as Kishan’s daughter, born from his relationship with Aparna Thakur . Shinnova also wanted a court order to prevent Kishan from denying her parentage.

In April 2024, Ravi Kishan was accused of abandoning his second wife, Aparna Thakur, and their daughter, Shinnova. Shinnova claimed to be Ravi Kishan’s daughter and demanded a compensation of Rs. 20 crore from him. In response, Kishan’s wife, Preeti Kishan, filed an FIR against Aparna and Shinnova, accusing them of extortion and defaming their names.
Reportedly, Shinnova filed a written petition before the Bombay High Court to cancel an FIR against her mother, Aparna Soni, in Uttar Pradesh.
Her mother, Aparna Thakur , a journalist, and Kishan got married in 1996 but separated shortly after.

Shinnova claimed that she was born on 19 October 1998. She stated that Ravi Kishan and Aparna allegedly agreed that Shinnova would refer to Kishan as “uncle,” and both parents fulfilled their duties towards her.

In 2024, tensions began between them when Shinnova and Aparna Thakur visited Kishan, who reportedly declined to meet them. Shinnova then called a press conference to claim her rights as Kishan’s daughter.

Her civil suit was heard on 25 April 2024 in the Dindoshi court, Mumbai, while the written petition was discussed in the Bombay High Court later.
