Some Lesser Known Facts About Shim Jaehyun
Shim Jaehyun liked singing since childhood.
He debuted in June 2020 as the youngest member and vocalist of F.ABLE under Haeirum Entertainment. The group struggled during the pandemic and disbanded later. Three members, Junhyeong, Jeong, and Sihun, re-debuted under a new group named Enphaze.
He didn’t make any public appearances after 2023.
He died on 30 June 2025 due to Leukemia. His leukemia diagnosis and treatment were kept confidential.
Fans, acquaintances, and the public only learned about his condition after his death was reported by local media on 2 July 2025.
Jaehyun had been quietly fighting the illness for several years. No details about when he was diagnosed or what treatment he received were shared publicly.
After the news of his passing circulated, fellow former member Hojun posted a tribute on Instagram and wrote, “Jae Hyun, I heard the news too late. I’m so sorry I couldn’t be there for your last journey. I sometimes think about how I could have done better, and it’s regretful. I hope you can shake off all your worries and live comfortably there. Thank you for the past five years. I hope you’re eating lots of delicious food and doing well there. Come visit me in my dreams.“
