Some Lesser Known Facts About Sheetal Ranganathan
Sheetal Ranganathan was a brilliant student who got the university’s first Rank in all three years of Bachelor of Science studies at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in New Delhi.
As a student, she was a member of the Society of Young Scientists at AIIMS.
During her post-graduate studies, she also did a research dissertation (credit course) in Molecular Biology and Immunology, specializing in Tuberculosis.
She was a research fellow at the International Centre for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology (ICGEB) in New Delhi from January 2000 to June 2000 in the Recombinant Gene Products Group.
During her management studies at the Xavier Institute of Management (XIMB) in Bhubaneswar, she received the Orissa Jesuit Society Gold Medal for Social and Ethical Perspectives in Management.
She worked as Manager of Large Accounts (Corporate Accounts and Government of India Establishments) division in Wipro, New Delhi, from March 2002 to August 2003.
In August 2003, she joined as the Team Lead (Business Research) of Evalueserve, a global analytics and advisory services company.
At Evalueserve, she worked as a Group Manager (Business Research) from 2005 to 2008, Associate Vice-President of Business Research (Pharmaceuticals) from 2008 to 2012, and Vice-President and Global Head (Life Sciences and Health Care Operations) from 2012 to 2020.

She became the Mentor of the Innovation Unit at the Indian government’s National Health Authority in New Delhi for two years from Feb 2020 to Feb 2022.
She is a columnist in various news publications such as Mint, The Financial Express, Observer Research Foundation, DailyO, Swarajya, and India Today.
She has been a business partner at GrowX Ventures since 2020.
She has been the Chief Strategy Officer at Roche India in New Delhi since October 2020.

She co-authored a book named India’s Forgotten Scientists with her husband Anand Ranganathan , which was initially under contract to be published by Bloomsbury Publishing.
The couple later cancelled the agreement as a protest when the publishing company withdrew from publishing the book Delhi Riots 2020: The Untold Story by Monika Arora, Prerna Malhotra, and Sonali Chitalkar under political pressure.
