| Controversies | Inappropriate Comments: In 2017, Sheetal was booked under IPC Sections 506 and 509 and the IT Act for using objectionable words against a woman on social media. Despite court summons, he repeatedly missed hearings. In August 2023, the Jalandhar Chief Judicial Magistrate issued a non-bailable warrant against him, cancelled his bail, and criticised his actions. check sources Hindustan Times The Kidnapping Case: In 2020, Sheetal and five others were accused of kidnapping and assaulting a 15-year-old boy who worked at his brother Ranjan's office. The boy alleged that they accused him of planting heroin, assaulted him, and threatened him. The case against Sheetal was filed under IPC Sections 365, 368, 346, 343, 323, 195A, 109, and 120-B, Section 75 of the Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act and Section 23 (1) of the POCSO Act. In 2024, a local court acquitted him after the witnesses changed their statements. check sources The Tribune The Gambling Case: In 2020, Sheetal and ten others were arrested for gambling after police raided a house in Kot Sadiq, Jalandhar, and seized two lakh in cash. Sheetal later claimed that the allegations were politically motivated by Congress. The officials also raided a house in Shiv Vihar and confiscated six packs of liquor bottles and about 42,000 caps of liquor bottles. Some Lesser Known Facts About Sheetal Angural
Sheetal Angural grew up facing financial difficulties. At the age of 12, he helped his family with stitching through which they earned Rs. 120 to Rs. 150 per day.
He owns ‘Angural Car Point,’ a car dealership, and Sail Builders, a property company, in Basti Danishmandan, Jalandhar.
Sheetal is the managing director and chief executive officer at Sai Builders Pvt. Ltd.
He has served as the national chairman of the Akhil Bhartiya Sewa Samiti.
In 2003, he began engaging in political activities.
He started assisting his father with political rallies and other activities when his father joined the BJP in 2006.
Sheetal Angural admires politician Vijay Sampla and considers him his role model.
Sheetal won the 2022 Punjab Legislative Assembly elections from the Jalandhar West constituency by defeating the INC candidate Sushil Kumar Rinku by a margin of 4,253 votes; he contested the elections on a ticket from AAP.
In 2023, Angural’s family was attacked in Jalandhar. The attackers fled when Sheetal’s brother stepped out of the car. Sheetal later filed a complaint, and the police identified the attackers through CCTV footage.
On 27 March 2024, he resigned from the Aam Aadmi Party and joined the Bharatiya Janata Party in the presence of Vinod Tawde  and Sunil Jakhar .

On 28 March 2024, Sheetal resigned as a Jalandhar West MLA. The Punjab Assembly Speaker accepted his resignation on 30 May, and a notification declaring the seat vacant was issued on 31 May. He, however, requested to withdraw his resignation on 3 June 2024.
