Sheela Rajkumar wanted to become an actor ever since childhood.

She used to take part in her local church’s fancy dress competitions for Christmas and Easter. She used to choose a character from The Bible and prepare for the show.
After studying Bharatanatyam, Sheela began acting in the short films of Kalaignar TV’s reality show titled ‘Naalaya Iyakunar.’
In 2014, she got the chance to star in a telefilm which never got released. However, on the sets of the film she met Thambi Chozhan who was the director and acting coach of the film.
Her family did not agree to her and Thambi’s wedding which made the couple went through tough times before finally deciding to shift to Chennai.
After she moved to Chennai to increase her acting experience, she joined the Tamil theatre group named ‘Koothu-P-Pattarai.’
In 2017, Sheela Rajkumar was cast in the Tamil drama film titled ‘To Let’ in which she played the character of Amudha.
