Some Lesser Known Facts About Shantipriya
Shantipriya is primarily known for her work in Telugu and Tamil cinema. She has also appeared in a few Hindi films and TV serials.
Beyond the silver screen, she has also appeared in the TV sci-fi series Aryamaan – Brahmaand Ka Yodha alongside the legendary actor Mukesh Khanna in 2002.
She is an advisory board member of the World Designing Forum.
She had a strong passion for acting and filmmaking from a young age.
Shantipriya is not only an actress but also a passionate dancer. She started training in the Kuchipudi dance form at the age of 6 under her guru, SP Anand. She has also learned Latin and Ballroom dances under the guidance of Sandip Soparrkar .

After her marriage, Shantipriya took a break from her acting career on the advice of her mother.
When she initially made her comeback to the acting industry, she was unhappy about having to give auditions because it wasn’t the norm in the 80s and 90s. However, her sons encouraged her to embrace the trend and start auditioning.
She was once on the verge of getting a divorce in her marriage but things eventually worked out.
She first met her late husband at the Filmfare Awards dance practice in 1992, where they were paired together to perform.
Shantipriya once signed a film with Sunny Deol but walked out of the film because of professional differences.
Shantipriya’s sons have not watched any of her films.
