He started his career in journalism as a crime reporter in the Hindi daily ‘Jansatta’ in 1993 and worked there for seven years.

In December 2000, he joined ‘Aaj Tak’ as a crime reporter. He started hosting the crime show ‘Jurm’ on Aaj Tak in March 2003.
He has worked as a journalist in various crime shows, including ‘Vaardat’ (2004) a daily crime show, ‘Raaz’ (2005) on forensic investigation, and ‘Koi Laut De Mere …’ He got immense popularity with his crime show ‘Vaardat’ (2004) aired on Aaj Tak.

He has received many awards for making various documentaries, like “Listen to the voice of Ayodhya,” “My mourning has no name,” A Documentary on Mumbai attack, “What is the night on Bhopal gas tragedy? Ask Bhopal,” and “Gandhi assassination Hey Ram.”
He hosted the popular Indian TV crime show ‘Crime Patrol’ in the special series ’30 Din 30 Naye Cases’ along with the famous Indian TV actor Anup Soni.
