Shalmalee Desai is an Indian actress and TV writer known for her work in Hindi television shows. She was previously married to the renowned television actor Avinash Sachdev .
She began her career at Zee Networks as a Marketing Management Trainee in June 2011. She completed her six-month training and later left the company in November 2011. However, she rejoined the company as an assistant brand manager in September 2021 and worked there for one year.
She stepped into the television industry with the reality show āLux The Chosen Oneā (2012) in which she took part as a contestant and achieved the title of the winner. The show was aired on UTV Stars.
