Scooter Braun grew up in a Conservative Jewish family in New York City.
Scooterās parents lived in Hungary till 1956, and after that, they moved to the United States and settled inĀ Cos Cob, Connecticut, USA.
Braun attended Emory University and played college basketball. During his second year, he dropped out to pursue his music career.
When he was attending Emory University, Braun started organising events and parties at the university.
In 2002, Sccoter Braun was hired by the Anger Management Tour to plan Ludacris and Eminemās tour in five cities. At one of the events, he met Jermaine Dupri, the founder of So So Def Records and offered him a job as So So Defās executive director of marketing.
