In an interview, she said that if she had not become an actor, she would have been a dancer or a choreographer. She started learning dance at a young age and was passionate about it. When she used to participate in skits and dramas, everyone told her that her acting was good which led her to join the acting school and practice theatre.

According to Sayli, she used to do music when she was a teenager, so when one of her friends asked her to appear in a music video, she immediately agreed.
While she was shooting for the song, an employee from the production approached her and asked her if she wanted to appear on television. She said yes to him and that is how she got her first role in the Marathi television show ‘Chhatriwali’ on Star Pravah.
In 2022, Sayli played the role of Indu in Star Bharat’s Hindi show ‘Bohot Pyaar Karte Hai.’ While working on the show, she faced difficulty in delivering her dialogues in Hindi. In an interview, she talked about this and said that she was a Maharashtrian, but her Marathi was not very fluent when she started her career as an actress. She was also not very good at Hindi, but she tried her best to improve her dictation. In the interview, she further added that she gained a lot of confidence when she started speaking both languages.

After appearing in the show Bohot Pyaar Karte Hai, she was offered many grey and negative roles, but she did not take them because she wanted to appear in a lead role. Before she was offered the show ‘Baatein Kuch Ankahee Si,’ she attended many workshops to polish her skills.
In 2023, she appeared in the Hindi television show ‘Baatein Kuch Ankahee Si’ opposite Mohit Malik on Star Plus. Reportedly, Sayli was not the first choice for the show. Actresses Drashti Dhami and Sriti Jha also appeared in the mock auditions for the show.

She went to give an audition for some other part, but when Rajan Shahi, the director of the show, heard her husky tone and was impressed by her after which he offered her the lead role. The character that she played in the show, Vandana, had a very unique tone and quality of voice, so Sayli was a perfect fit for the role. In an interview, she talked about this and said,
People have often told me that I have a different voice, which motivates me. It is my unique voice that has helped me be Vandana. I hope the audience showers us with love and appreciation for the show.”
According to Sayli, she got a chance to explore a different side of herself after she appeared on the show. In an interview, she said that her experience of working in the show was not less than her Bollywood debut. The title track of the show ‘Baatein Kuch Ankahee Si’ is sung by veteran singer Usha Uthup and artist Sanam Puri .
