Some Lesser Known Facts About Sayeed Quadri
Sayeed Quadri is an Indian lyricist and poet known for his work in Bollywood films. In 2023, he made a guest appearance on the celebrity talk show ‘The Kapil Sharma Show,’ which aired on Sony TV.
Since his childhood, he possessed a profound passion for writing poetry. He started writing poetry while studying in 8th class.
In 1986, he went to Mumbai to pursue his dream of becoming a lyricist in Bollywood. However, he couldn’t find any work there for almost seven years, so he went back to his hometown.
After returning to his hometown, he worked as a LIC agent for ten years.
Later, he moved to Mumbai again and finally made a name for himself as a successful lyricist in Bollywood.
After making his debut as a lyricist with the film ‘Jism,’ he wrote all the songs for the 2004 Bollywood film ‘Saaya.’
In 2004, he contributed to the film ‘Murder’ by writing four songs, including the immensely popular hits “Bheege Honth Tere” and “Kaho Na Kaho.” These songs dominated the music scene and remained at the top of music, radio, and streaming charts for an extended period.

He penned three songs “Tu Hi Meri Shab Hai,” “Ya Ali,” and “Mujhe Mat Roko” for the film ‘Gangster’ in 2006.
In 2007, he wrote the song “Maula Mere Maula” for the film ‘Anwar’ (2007). The song became the superhit of the film.
His songs “Haale-E-Dil,” “Phir Mohobat,” and “Tujhko Bhulana” that he penned for the film ‘Murder 2’ (2011) turned out to be massive hits, reigning over the music, radio, and streaming charts for a long time.
In 2018, he wrote the lyrics of the song ‘Shab Tum Ho,’ sung by Darshan Raval .
In 2020, he penned the title track of the film ‘Khuda Haafiz.’

Quadri has contributed his songwriting skills to numerous films, such as ‘Paap’ (2003), ‘Kalyug’ (2005), ‘Life in a… Metro’ (2007), ‘Barfi!,’ (2012), ‘Hamari Adhuri Kahani’ (2015) and ‘Ludo’ (2020). paraphrase in an easy language.
Apart from films, he also wrote lyrics for video songs. In 2018, he wrote the video song ‘Shab Tum Ho,’ which was sung by Darshan Raval.
Sayeed Quadri penned the lyrics of the patriotic song ‘One India My India’ in 2019.
