In May 1997, he made a headstart to his career by joining Doordarshan, Broadcasting television network and worked there as a News Anchor, Radio Jockey, and Translator.
He gained experience at Doordarshan for about 2 years and 9 months and then joined Sahara Samay as News Anchor-cum-Producer in January 2000.
Sayeed gave 4 years to Sahara Samaya and then moved to ABP news (then Star-News).
He got a very great exposure at Star News, as he anchored the prime time show titled âStar Reportâ, broadcasted at 9 pm, and co-anchored show âInsaaf Ka Taraazuâ, which focused on the important court cases.
He rose to fame after starring on Star News and he has also interacted with many politicians in the live show âKahiye Netajiâ.
In 2007, he became a member of the News 24 group and managed the responsibilities of Associate Executive Producer and Anchor in the organisation till 2012.
He has hosted many popular shows on ABP, viz. Rojana, Prime Time News at 10 pm, Sports News, and Analysis Bulletins at 7 and 9.30 pm. He also produced Star Track, which was an informal talk show with Indian personalities involved in different fields.
In January 2012, Sayeed grabbed the opportunity of Aaj Tak and took the position of Deputy Editor and Anchor over there.
He prefers keeping his personal life secret and is also not so much active on various social media handles.
Sayeed also delivers guest lectures and seminars to incite primary media tips in youth. Hereâs a notable lecture by him at SGT University, Gurgaon:
