Some Lesser Known Facts About Saurabh Kumar

  • While pursuing graduation, Saurabh Kumar joined the student wing of Janta Dal (United) and was politically active. Later, he became a political leader for JD(U).

  • In 2019, he was appointed as the District Media in charge of Student JDU by District President Raju Kumar Mandal on the instructions of Purnia Student JDU State President Shyam Patel.

  • On 24 April 2024, he was shot dead late at night when he was returning to his home after attending a wedding reception in Patna. He was accompanied by his friend named Munmun Kumar, Saurabh was shot twice in the head by four men on bikes. Both of them were injured and taken to the hospital where Kumar was declared dead on arrival.

  • The next day, the roads were blocked as a form of protest by Kuma’s family, friends, and supporters.

  • After the initial investigation, the Masaurhi police claimed that the incident could be due to personal enmity.
