Some Lesser Known Facts About Saumya Sharma
At the age of 3, Saumya had developed her interest in reading newspapers.
In 2010, she has topped her school in 10th class.
At the age of 16, she lost her hearing ability and she now wears hearing aids to hear.
Saumya aspired to become a neurologist as her parents are doctors but later, she changed her decision and started studying law.
When she was in her final semester of the law degree, she started doing the preparation of UPSC exam.
She studied 16 to 17 hours every day to clear the UPSC exam.
Saumya Sharma achieved 9th rank in the 2017 UPSC exam and was the Delhi topper. This was her first attempt. She never took coaching classes but she joined several test series like âInsights Onlineâ, etc.
At the time of UPSC mains exam, she suffered from 103-degree fever.
She had cracked several campus placement interviews which helped her to crack the interview of UPSC.
