Satyen Kappu was a well-known Indian actor.
He joined the Indian Peopleâs Theatre Association (IPTA), Bombay in 1942 and started working as a theatre actor.
From the early 1960s to 2000s, he appeared in more than 390 films.

He acted in various Hindi films, including âSapno Ka Saudagarâ (1968), âChhoti Bahuâ (1971), âSeeta Aur Geetaâ (1972), âDo Gaz Zameen Ke Neecheâ (1972), âYaadon Ki Baaraatâ (1973), âBenaamâ (1974), âKala Sonaâ (1975), âSholayâ (1975), âDonâ (1978), âThe Burning Trainâ (1980), âMain Aur Mera Haathiâ (1981), âNaseeb Apna Apnaâ (1986), and âRaja Bhaiyaâ (2003).
In 1975, he played the role of Amitabh Bachchan âs father in the Bollywood film, âDeewaar.â
He dubbed in two Hindi films; main villainâs voice in âGehri Chaalâ (1973) and Mohammed Al Fardinâs dialogues in âSubah-O-Shaamâ (1972).
His family started a film production company, âSatyen Kappu Film Productionsâ in 1994.
As per the sources, he was a diabetic and had high blood pressure. His funeral was held at Oshiwara crematorium, Mumbai.
