Some Lesser Known Facts About Satyanarayana Raju
Raju started playing cricket when he was 10 years old.
Raju’s father always wished his son to become a cricketer. He wanted to become a cricketer but could not complete his dream due to family circumstances. To give his son better cricketing opportunities, he moved his family to Kakinada from the Konaseema district.
Raju likes to travel and explore places around the world.

Raju first made his mark in Under-14 zonal matches and went on to secure a place in the Andhra Pradesh cricket team.
Raju made his first-class debut for the Andhra Pradesh cricket team against Mumbai during the 2023-24 Ranji Trophy; he took two wickets in the match.

During the 2024 edition of the Andhra Premier League, Raju took eight wickets in just seven innings of the tournament at an average of 20.
Raju picked up seven wickets at an impressive average of just 19.85 in his first four List A matches since his 50-overs debut.
In December 2024, Raju was bought by the Mumbai Indians team for his base price of Rs. 30 lakhs during the 2025 IPL mega auctions.
