Some Lesser Known Facts About Sapna Mukherjee
While growing up, Sapna Mukherjee wanted to become a doctor.
However, on her sister’s advice, she decided to make her career in singing. She used to practice singing along with her mother.
At a very young age, she joined a theatre group in Delhi. During her theatre practice, she sang the songs Laila Ho Laila and Aap Jaisa Koi for the first time on stage during the promotion of the 1980 Bollywood film ‘Qurbani.’
After this, film director Feroz Khan called her to Mumbai and advised her to take training in singing from music directors Kalyanji and Anandji.
In Bollywood, she gained popularity with the song Tirchi Topi Wale from the 1989 Bollywood film ‘Tridev.’

Sapna Mukherjee has worked with singers like Sonu Nigam , Mohammad Aziz, Anu Malik , and A. R. Rahman .
