Sanket Sawant is an Indian Kabaddi player. He is known for playing for Puneri Paltans. Since 2019, he has been recognized for his Pro Kabaddi League participation with Puneri Paltan.
Sanket Sawant joined the local team Amar Krida Mandal in Jijamata Nagar, Mumbai, Maharashtra, where he began playing kabaddi. He was an all-around player as well as a defender. In Maharashtra, he also played for the Dena Bank team in regional competitions.
He played for Mumbai City in the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Kabaddi Tournament in December 2018, where he won the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Cup.
He competed at the Shivneri Seva Mandal Dadar Kabaddi Competition 2019 with the Air India Kabaddi team and won the competition. Anup Kumar, the coach of Puneri Paltan, selected Sanket through the competition to play for Puneri Paltan in the Pro Kabaddi League’s Season 7.

 In 2019, he played in the Pro Kabaddi League for the first time with it’s season 7. He played a total of 5 matches during the tournament. He maintained a tackle strike rate of 33 per cent and earned 7 points overall in the tournament.

In 2019, he played and won numerous local Kabaddi tournaments and he was named the Mumbai Mayor Cup Kabaddi’s Best Player of the Match in March 2020.

In 2021, Sanket Sawant was kept on by Puneri Paltan for Rs. 8 Lakh to play in season 8 of the Pro Kabaddi League. Throughout the season, he participated in 23 matches. He kept a tackle strike rate of 28 percent and collected a total of 26 points in the tournament.

In numerous national Kabaddi competitions, Sanket Sawant played for the Mumbai City team. He became captain of the Mumbai City team in December 2022, and the team won the 70th Maharashtra State Kabaddi Championship 2022. For the Pro Kabaddi League’s ninth season in 2022, Puneri Paltan once again retained Sanket Sawant for a price of Rs. 12.50 lakhs. He played in the tournament in 24 matches during season 9. Throughout the tournament, he scored 30 points overall while maintaining a 34% tackle strike percentage.
He received the Best Defender Award in March 2022 from the State-Level Kabaddi competition at Vikhroli, Maharashtra. He was the winner of the Jijau Mahotsav State Level Kabaddi 2022 for Yuva Paltan in April of 2022. He won the Best Player of the Tournament in the April 2022 Kabaddi tournament held in Dharavi, Maharashtra, by the Maharashtra Tamil Kabaddi Club.
He was named the Pro Kabaddi League’s ninth season’s Game Changer of the Match in November 2022.
