He started playing hockey in 2008 after being inspired by his elder cousins who played hockey.
When he was a kid, he would borrow hockey sticks to play because he could not afford to buy one.
In 2011, he was selected in the Chandigarh Hockey Academy.

On 17 May 2015, he scored a hat-trick in the final match of the 5th Sub Junior National Hockey Championship and helped his team, Chandigarh Olympic Association, win the tournament.
He was the captain of the Indian team in the School Asia Cup in 2017, helping India win the tournament.
He was the vice-captain of the Indian team in the Buenos Aires Summer Youth Olympics in 2018.
He was the highest goal scorer in the Junior Hockey World Cup, which was held in Bhubaneswar in 2021. He scored 8 goals, including two hat-tricks in the tournament.
