  • After passing class 12th, Kala Jathedi started working as a cable operator in Sonipat, Haryana.

  • He got the nickname Kala Jathedi after the name of his hometown Jatheri in Sonipat, Haryana.

  • He committed his first murder in the year 2009 during a bank robbery organised by him in Rohtak, Haryana.

  • He is a close associate of the gangster Lawrence Bishnoi and often heads his gang members in the northern region of India. Jathedi and Bishnoi have partnered with various gangsters such as Jitender Gogi , a Gurugram-based gangster Sube Gujjar, and a Rajasthan-based gangster Anandpal Singh to expand their area of control.

  • In 2016, he was convicted in a murder case of 2010 with life imprisonment by the district court of Sonipat.

  • On 25 March 2021, he, along with his gang members, helped Kuldeep Fajja, a gangster, to escape from police custody while he was admitted to GTB Hospital.

  • In July 2021, the Delhi police launched an operation called ‘Op D-24’ to arrest Kala Jatheri and finally arrested him under the Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA) from Saharanpur in Uttar Pradesh along with his girlfriend, Anuradha Chaudhary, who was also on the run with him.

  • Kala Jathedi was addressed with the code name ‘Alpha’ by his gang members.

  • On 4 March 2024, the Delhi Dwarka court granted custody parole to Kala Jathedi for his wedding on 12 March 2024 and for the Grih Pravesh ceremony on 13 March 2024.
