According to her, the series relied on a book with factual inaccuracies, which she believed affected her family’s right to privacy, dignity, and self-respect. The production company, however, countered that the series could not violate her family’s rights as the information about her family and the scam was already publicly available. In the same year, the Mumbai court rejected Sana’s request to restrict the release of the series.
The biographical financial thriller series ‘Scam 2003: The Telgi Story’ was released on SonyLIV in 2023.
