Some Lesser Known Facts About Samit Dravid
Samit is the elder son of former Indian cricket team legend, Rahul Dravid, who inspired him to become a cricketer.Â
Unlike his father, who was known to be “The Wall” of the Indian cricket team, with his defensive batting skills, Samit is an attacking batsman.
In April 2016, Samit’s batting talent first came into public prominence when he smashed 125 runs in an Under-14 game against Frank Anthony Public School.
In January 2018, he again smashed a century in the Karnataka State Cricket Association’s (KSCA) BTR Cup Under-14 Inter-School tournament. He scored 150 runs for Mallya Aditi International School against Vivekananda School.
Like his father, he follows a very disciplined lifestyle.
After watching his batting, Former Sri Lankan legendary spinner Muttiah Muralitharan said that he saw traces of Rahul Dravid in his batting.
