Some Lesser Known Facts About Salman Ali Agha
Salman started playing cricket at the Apollo Cricket Club in Lahore, Pakistan. He made his first-class debut in February 2013.
Salman started playing PSL in 2018 for the Lahore Qalandars team where he played till 2021.
In September 2019, Salman was included in Southern Punjab’s squad for the 2019–20 Quaid-e-Azam Trophy tournament.
Salman was the leading run-scorer in the 2018 Global T20 Canada tournament; he scored 218 runs in six matches.
Salman was named in the Pakistan Shaheens squad for their tour of Sri Lanka in October 2021.
Salman’s maiden Test hundred came against New Zealand in December 2022.
Salman was part of the Islamabad United team which won the Pakistan Super League tournament in 2024.

In October 2024, Salman was appointed as the vice-captain of the Pakistan cricket team in the limited-over format.
On 17 December 2024, Salman made headlines when he helped the Pakistan team chase the target of 240 runs against South Africa in an ODI match; he scored 82 runs off 90 balls and remained not out.
After the match ended against South Africa, fans praised Salman on social media for his warm gesture after he shared his Player of the Match award with Saim Ayub during the post-match presentation.
