She said the discussion was meant to be respectful and was disappointed it was portrayed as a fight. check sources IndieWire Promoting 'American Dirt': In January 2020, Salma Hayek got into trouble for promoting a book called American Dirt without reading it first. The book, picked by television host Oprah Winfrey for her book club, tells the story of a Mexican woman running from a drug cartel. Salma said she got excited after hearing about the book and wanted to support Oprah, so she shared a post about it on Instagram. After realising the issue, she apologised and admitted she had not read the book and soon deleted the post. check sources NBC News Salma and Nicoleâs Awkward Moment: On 30 September 2024, Salma Hayek and actor Nicole Kidman had a brief awkward moment at Paris Fashion Week that was caught on camera.
