Salim Karim is a Pakistani entrepreneur. He is the CEO and co-founder of Simpaisa, Karachi. He gained limelight in 2023 when he married famous Pakistani actress Mahira Khan .
In 2005, he started working as an assistant brand manager in a US-based company, GSK. He worked there till 2008.
In 2015, he joined the Italian company ENI as a team leader.
In 2016, he started the company Simpaisa. Simpaisa allows users to directly make financial transactions through their SIM cards. The company works with merchants from different sectors in over 15 countries.
Salim and Mahira have known each other since 2017 after they met at an event hosted by Tapmad TV, a television application. They were spotted together on various other occasions after that.

In 2019, they got engaged in Turkey in a small wedding attended by their close friends and family members.
Even after that, they never confirmed their relationship with each other. It was in 2020 when Mahira appeared as a guest on Samina Peerzadaâs web show, Rewind with Samina Peerzada that she revealed she was in love. On the show, Mahira talked about Karim and said, âYeah, I think I am in love.â

Salim is Mahiraâs second husband. She was earlier married to Ali Askari, who is a film and television actor, director, and producer. They tied the knot in 2007, but in 2015, they parted ways. Together, they have a 13-year-old son, Azlan.
Salimâs wife Mahira received recognition after she played the role of Khirad Hussain in the romantic drama Humsafar, opposite Fawad Khan . She has also been a part of the Bollywood industry. She made her debut in 2017 with the Bollywood film Raees alongside Shah Rukh Khan .
Salim and Mahira got married on 1 October 2023 at Pearl Continental Hotel Bhurban in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa area of Pakistan. Their wedding was confirmed after Anushay Talha Khan, Mahira Khan âs manager took to Instagram to post a video of Mahira walking down the aisle and Salim wiping his tears out of happiness after seeing Mahira.
