In 2019, during his debut at the Pro Kabaddi League (PKL), Sagar Rathee participated and accumulated a total of 22 points. He showcased his skills during a match in PKL 2019 and was recognized as the ‘Dream11 Gamechanger of the Match.’
In 2021, Sagar Rathee took part in the 38th All India Men Kabaddi Championship (AIMKC) held in Gotegaon, Madhya Pradesh, where he secured a total of 118 tackle points.
He was bought by the Tamil Thalaivas team for Rs 8 lakh in the Pro Kabaddi League season 8 in 2021. In his second PKL season, he gained 82 tackle points and 1 raid point.
