Controversy Feud With Her Stepdaughter
In November 2024, Rupali made headlines after her stepdaughter, Esha, accused Rupali of having an affair with her father Ashwin, while he was still married to her mother, Sapna. Esha also said that Rupali played a key role in breaking up her parents' marriage by pressuring her father to divorce Sapna. She described Rupali as cruel and mentally unstable. Esha further claimed that Rupali had abused her mother and even threatened to have both her and her mother killed. Later, in Rupali's defense, Ashwin took to Twitter and refuted the claims. Rupali later filed a defamation case against Esha, demanding Rs. 50 crore from her for maligning her image.
