Ruben Silvestre began playing football during his school time.
From 2006 to 2007, he played for The Pestinhas Football School team as a Youth Football player.
In 2007, he played as a youth football player for the Portuguese professional football club Clube Desportivo de Tondela and remained with them till 2013.
On 12 January 2014, he began playing as a professional football player as a forward for the Portuguese professional football club Clube Desportivo de Tondela in the second-highest division of the Portuguese football league system Liga Portugal Meu Super.
