Robby Hoffman grew up in a Hasidic Jewish family.
Her parents first followed Reform Judaism but later changed to Hasidic Judaism.
Once, during a media conversation, Robby Hoffman joked that her parents joined a Hasidic group, had ten children, and she was one of them.
Later, her mother became a Messianic Jew.
Her parents divorced when she was very young.
