Riar Saab is an Indian singer who gained widespread popularity in June 2023 after his chart-topping song ‘Obsessed’ became viral. Before adopting the name Riar Saab, he was known as Frenzzy and was associated with the Aavrutti music group.
He often visited his ancestral village Dhapai in Kapurthala, Punjab during his childhood and picked up the nuances of Punjabi music.

Since his teenage years, Riar Saab had a keen interest in music and would often showcase his singing talent at family gatherings; however, it was his sister who encouraged him to pursue a career as a professional singer.

In November 2018, as a member of the Aavrutti Music group under the name Frenzzy, Riar Saab released his debut song titled ‘Raaste.’ Following that, he went on to release additional tracks such as ‘Galtiyaan’ and ‘Naya Zamana.’

After signing with Divine ‘s Gully Gang Music in May 2022, Riar Saab made the decision to adopt the name, Riar Saab. Under his new stage name, he released his first song titled ‘Area 06.’

Following the release of ‘Promise’ and ‘Trust,’ he gained significant attention and recognition; however, his major breakthrough came in June 2023 when Bollywood actor Vicky Kaushal danced to his song ‘Obsessed’ during the promotions of his film ‘Zara Hatke Zara Bachke .’ This caught the public’s attention, leading to a surge in popularity for Riar Saab and his music.

In an interview, he gave credit to Vicky Kaushal for making the Obsessed song viral and said,
Kudos to Vicky paaji for his incredible performance on my song. It really helped amplify the track. It was my most popular song prior to the video [shared by Kaushal]. But, after Vicky paaji’s video, the song picked up and never ceased. His support has played a crucial role in making the track what it is today.
