In August 2024, during a media interview, Revathy Sampath accused Malayalam actor and producer Siddique of inappropriate behaviour. She said that she first met Siddique on Facebook while she was still in school, and he often addressed her as his daughter.
She said in the same conversation that Siddique knew about her dreams of becoming an actress, and she believed that he took advantage of that.
She shared a story about Siddique when he invited her to watch a film preview, which she attended with her parents. After asking her parents to leave, saying she would join them after talking about the film, Revathy was left alone with Siddique. She added,
Everything looked professional at first. All of a sudden, his conversation turned sexual, and by the time I realised it was a trap, the door was locked.”

He physically assaulted me without my consent. I was numb. He even went for a press conference while I was locked. I tried to call somebody but nothing worked. He came back and assaulted me.”
Revathy also claimed that Siddique threatened her, saying that even if she spoke about the assault, no one would believe her.
