Rejani Raveendran is an Indo-American college student who announced her candidacy for the Wisconsin Senate seat in the 2024 US election as a Republican candidate in 2023.
At the age of 28, Rejani migrated from Kerala to the USA.
In 2011, she landed in California where she worked as a nurse and midwife.
In a talk show, she revealed the facts that she was a victim of domestic violence and was homeless.
In 2015, Rejina got US citizenship and renounced her Indian citizenship.

In 2017, she relocated to Wisconsin, USA.
In 2021, Rejina enrolled in her bachelor’s degree course at the University of Wisconsin Steven Point College where she became the chair of the Republican group.
In the summer of 2023, she went to Washington D.C. on a study tour. After this visit, she decided to run for the position of senator of Wisconsin. Describing her experience in an interview, she said,
I see what’s going on in our country. I realized how much D.C. is (dominated) by these polished politicians. I realized there is a need for a change in our political system. We need some new faces with new ideas.”
