Some Lesser Known Facts About Ravi Krishna
Ravi was born to A. M. Rathnam in Nellore, Andhra Pradesh.
He started his career as a non-linear film editor at Sam Media.
Ravi rose to fame with his debut film “7G Rainbow Colony” in 2004.
His performance in the film “7G Rainbow Colony” earned him Filmfare Award for ‘Best Male Debut’ (South).
The film was simultaneously shot in Tamil and Telugu with the latter being titled “7G Brindavan Colony.”
Subsequently, he appeared in films like “Sukran,” “Ponniyin Selvan,” and “Kedi.” The films failed at the box office.
He did just 9 films in his career spanning more than a decade; the last one being “Aaranya Kaandam” in 2011.
In 2018, Ravi, along with the Telugu actress Chitra Rai, participated in the dance reality show “Dance Jodi Dance.”
He has also starred in TV serials like “Sundarakanda,” “Bavamaradallu,” and “That is Mahalakshmi.”

Ravi was not the first choice for the film “7 G Brindavan Colony.” He landed the role because Madhavan and Siddarth (who were the first choices for the film) were busy with their schedules.
Ravi considers his father, A. M. Rathnam, as his inspiration.
While in school, his friends used to call him Amul Baby.
