Ravi Jayaram is an Indian-origin UK-born doctor. He works as a consultant paediatrician at the Countess of Chester Hospital in northern England. He is also an accomplished medical educator. After completing his medical education, he began serving UKâs National Health Services (NHS). Ravi Jayaram then completed his training as a paediatrician in different places like northeast England, Bristol, New South Wales, and London.

In his leisure time, Ravi Jayaram often participates in triathlons. He likes singing and often sings with a renowned music band in the UK. He is also a member of the music group âThe Weakest Link Winners Club.â In 2018, Ravi Jayaram competed in an ultra-marathon in Chester to raise money for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust, a UK-based national charitable organisation.

In 2015, Ravi Jayaram appeared on ITVâs show âThis Morningâ and BBCâs show âThe One Showâ as a guest. He has also presented a film on the issues related to NHS staffing. Ravi Jayaram has appeared as a guest on BBCâs television show âSunday Morning Live.â He is known for hosting the first episodes of a podcast series called âAccelerating Health,â which talked about things that helped health systems during the Covid-19 pandemic. He has also been a regular contributor on the BBC Asian Network radio as a child health expert.
Reportedly, between June 2015 and July 2016, a lot of baby babies suddenly died at Countess of Chester Hospital in England. Ravi Jayaram was the first to tell the hospital authorities about this. He and his coworkers then complained about neonatal nurse Lucy Letby. However, Lucy was smart, and they could not catch her at first. During the initial inquiries, Ravi Jayaram was asked by the hospital authorities to apologise to her because they did not find anything against her. Later, more babies got sick under the supervision of Lucy, and this kept happening. In April 2017, the National Health Service (NHS) allowed doctors to speak with a police officer. According to media reports, Lucy Letby poisoned some babies with insulin, and she put air into their blood. She tried to kill more babies by giving them too much milk via nasogastric tubes, which made them suddenly sick for no clear reason. On 21 August 2023, she was sentenced by the Manchester Crown Court.

Later, the police found a note written by Lucy Letby at her house. In the note, she wrote âI am evil, I did it.â Lucy explained to the court that she wrote this note when she was given the job of a clerk after two or three children had died.
