Rasikh played his first cricket match in Budgam when he was 8.
Rasikh in his initial days was coached by his cousin brothers Nadeem Dar and Mubeen Koul.

Rasikh was 17 years old when he was first spotted during a talent hunt drive in Kashmir by Irfan Pathan and Milap Mewada, who was the coach of Jammu and Kashmir during that time.

On 3 October 2018, Rasikh debuted in the List A cricket for Jammu and Kashmir in the 2018–19 Vijay Hazare Trophy against Rajasthan.
On 30 December 2018, Rasikh made his first-class debut for Jammu & Kashmir in the 2018–19 Ranji Trophy.

Rasikh debuted for Jammu & Kashmir in the 2018–19 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy on 22 February 2019
Rasikh is the third player from Jammu and Kashmir to be picked in the IPL auctions after Parvez Rasool and Mansoor Dar.
Rasikh made his IPL debut in 2019 for the Mumbai Indians.

Rasikh was busy in preparations with the India U-19 team for a tri-series in England when the BCCI banned him.
After Rasikh was banned for two years by BCCI in 2019 and was not allowed to play in any tournaments associated with BCCI, during this period he was nurtured and trained by Mumbai Indians under a scholarship programme in their Reliance training facility in Navi Mumbai. He even travelled to UAE with the Mumbai Indians team as a net bowler.
After Rasikh’s ban was over, Kolkata Knight Rider bought him in 2022 from Mumbai Indians for his base price of Rs. 20 lakhs.
Rasikh took his first IPL wicket of Sai Sudarshan against Gujarat Titans in 2024; he came as an impact sub in the match and took 3 wickets.
