Rannvijay Singha is an Indian VJ, TV host, and anchor, who is known for presenting various seasons of the reality TV show âMTV Roadies.â
His past six generations have served in the Indian military.
He had a keen interest in sports since childhood, especially basketball. He played basketball at the state and national levels in his school, and on sports quota, he got admission to Hansraj College, Delhi. During an interview, he talked about it. He said,
I never got 94 or 95% in school, it was a little tough for me. I used to play basketball and as a basketball player if you do well in your school, you play for nationals and your ultimate goal is to go to a good college. During admission season, my dad read in one of the leading magazines that Hansraj College was ranked number one in Commerce and number two in Science. And my dad, who was in Mhow, Indore, told me that if I got admission in Hansraj College, heâd be very proud. Without being part of DU, he knew about Hansraj. And little did he know that this college would actually change my life. When I came here for the sports trials, MP Sharma sir chose me. Then he asked me, âKaun sa course karna hai?â I said, âSabse zyada cut-off kiski hai?â BCom (Hons) ki thi and I did that course.â

While he was in college, his college basketball team won five tournaments and after that, a basketball court was constructed in his college. During an interview, he shared how he developed an interest in basketball. He said,
The love for basketball came in me because of my mom. She has also been a basketball player and all these shoes and sneakers came in my life because of this woman.â
After graduating, he joined a construction company in New Jersey, USA.
In 2003, he won the first season of the popular reality TV show âMTV Roadies.â He then worked as a presenter/host in various seasons of MTV Roadies. Later, he appeared as a gang leader in a few seasons of MTV Roadies.
He has also hosted various seasons of the Hindi dating TV show âMTV Splitsvilla.â

Rannvijay once dated the VJ and model Anusha Dandekar , but later, they got separated. In an interview, Rannvijay talked about his ex-girlfriends. He said,
I am friends with Karan and Anusha. My other ex-girlfriends are friends with me. We have shared things that normal friends donât. It depends on the people. If your character is bad, then thereâll be problems with ex-girlfriends or for that matter even friends. If your intentions are good, then you can be friends with your enemies also.â
He has worked as a host/presenter in many Hindi shows such as âMTV Force India The Fast and The Gorgeousâ (2009), âSavdhaan Indiaâ (2014), âNBA Slamâ (2016), and âMTV Troll Policeâ (2018).

All my life, I have been offered the infinite saas-bahu sagas. It was unbelievable money that I was offered for these shows, but I said no. Only if there is something finite, young and appealing in saas-bahu serials, will I do them. Like I got to do a lot of action sequences during the TV show Pukar. Woh action hero banne ka jo keeda tha, usey achhi tarah se ek baar mein satisfy kar diya maine.â
He further shared that once he got an offer to host the reality Hindi TV show âIndiaâs Got Talent,â but he rejected the offer. He said,
I want to work in the show which can be called as Rannvijayâs show. On IGT, the main man is the talent. Mera kaam kya hai wahan pe? Main ek amazing talent ko introduce kar raha hoon and then side mein khada hoon. Even for judging, there were three maharathis sitting. What am I doing on the show then? I donât do shows for money. I love to do shows where I am part of the creative team and I am the judge.â
