Some Lesser Known Facts About Rami Reddy
Before joining the film industry, Rami Reddy used to work as a journalist at the Urdu newspaper in Hyderabad named ‘The Munsif Daily.’
Initially, Rami Reddy wasn’t interested in entering the film industry and just wanted to become a journalist; however, during his time at ‘The Munsif Daily,’ he used to meet and interview a lot of actors which eventually made him get interested in acting and joining the film industry.
One day, Rami went to take the interview of the Telugu director Kodi Ramakrishna. During the interview, the filmmaker was impressed with Rami’s personality, and thus he offered him a negative role in his upcoming Telugu film. Rami accepted the offer and became part of the film titled ‘Ankusam’ (1989) in which he played the character of Neelakantam.

In the same year, he was cast in the Kannada action drama film titled ‘Abhimanyu’ in which he played the character of “Spot” Naga.

In 1990, Rami Reddy was cast in the Telugu fantasy film titled ‘Jagadeka Veerudu Athiloka Sundari’ in which he played the role of Abbulu.
