Some Lesser Known Facts About Raja Yadav
His father was a wrestler at a young age. So, Raja was inspired by his father to pursue wrestling. The father-son duo later started going together to local wrestling tournaments (dangals).

He failed twice in 10th class and once in 12th standard. Hence, his father allowed him not to pursue any further studies and to become a wrestler.

In 2014, he started running to become fit.
He has appeared in the Indian Army hiring process 11 times and cleared the physical all 11 times, but failed to clear the written exam even once.
While preparing for the Indian Army, he used to complete a 1600-meter run in 4 minutes and 20 seconds.

He wanted to join the Indian Army so that he could get the facilities to become a sportsperson and win medals for India.
He once said in an interview that he wanted to inspire the youth of his local area to run, wrestle, and pay attention to their physical health.
He wants to participate in the 100-meter running events and win Olympic medals for the country.
Whenever he is free or not running, he works out in his home gym and takes care of his cows and buffaloes.
He got the ‘Bihari Tarzan’ name from his fans as he often used to exercise in the local forest near his home.
He also had very short hair before, but once he became famous, he started having long hair at the request of his followers.

His daily schedule consists of waking up at 4 am, followed by running and exercising at his home gym. After having his breakfast, he then sleeps and wakes up around 3 pm. From 3 pm to 7 pm, he again works out. He then eats his dinner and goes to sleep.

He only eats twice a day. His first meal of the day, around 10 am, consists of rice, pulses, and vegetables. His evening meal consists of chapati (roti) with paneer and a glass of milk before sleeping.
His daily diet includes drinking around 2-2.5 kg of milk, 1.5 kg of milk is used to make the paneer and 1 kg yoghurt/curd (dahi).
He doesn’t drink tea and eats sweets in any form, like sweet dishes and sugar.
Since 2022, 95% of the food that he eats is boiled.
He runs 20-25 km daily followed by 3000 pushups (sapate) and exercises with homemade weights.

In November 2024, he met with Bihar cabinet sports minister Surendra Mehata and former deputy Chief Minister, Samrat Choudhary . He requested both of them to provide a sports ground in his area with a good running track and coaches.

An athlete from Bihar named Neeraj Kumar claimed that Raja Yadav was not a good runner and challenged him to a 100-meter sprint race. He said if Raja defeated him, he would give him Rs 1 lakh cash.

Yadav declined the challenge saying that if Kumar had so much money, he should help the needy and the poor.
His paternal uncle was in jail and was released in December 2024.

He uploaded videos on social media racing against vehicles like Mahindra Thar, Mahindra Scorpio, and Maruti Swift which went viral. He said that he runs on roads out of compulsion as there is no running ground in his area.

In 2024, he suffered a rib injury during a wrestling match. The abdominal muscle came off the bone after which he had to rest for 2-3 months.

In October 2024, his YouTube channel ‘Raja Yadav Fitness’ crossed 1 million subscribers.
In January 2025, his videos with Indian yoga guru Baba Ramdev went viral in which he was seen doing pushups with him. Ramdev also taught him a few wrestling moves.
