  • When he was 5-6 years old, he started reciting poems and started acting in plays in his school and later while studying in college in Delhi.

  • After moving to Hyderabad from Delhi, he started acting at a theatre group and said in an interview that he felt very happy while acting.

  • He later went to Bengaluru (aka Bangalore) and started working in an advertising agency where met a film director and Indian actor Nana Patekar who persuaded him to come to Mumbai. check sources

  • In the early 1980s, he came to Mumbai where he auditioned for Ketan Mehta’s film Holi. He has featured in more than 100 Hindi films including Parda Hai Parda (1992), Maachis (1996), Lagaan (2001), Love Aajkal (2009), and Article 370 (2024).
