Some Lesser Known Facts About Raj Kumar Verka
In 2016, he was one of the 42 MLAs from the Indian National Congress who gave his resignation in protest of the Supreme Court’s decision of favouring Haryana on the Sutlej Yamuna link canal issue.
In 2018, he was appointed as the Chairman of Punjab State Warehousing Corporation.
In October 2023, Raj Kumar decided to quit the BJP and rejoin the Indian National Congress. Later, while giving the reason for his decision to switch parties for the second time, he said that he had committed a mistake by quitting Congress and he wanted to rectify his mistake.
