She entered politics during her formative years. At 18, she joined the National Studentsā Union of India (NSUI), a student wing of the Congress.

Later, she was appointed President of Mundka Block NSUI of Delhi State.
She holds directorship in her fatherās companies, Naveen Tour Pvt Ltd and Navmar Tours & Holidays.
In 2017, her sister, Priyanka Khera, became a national office bearer of the NSUI.
In 2020, Radhika Khera contested the Janakpuri seat in the Delhi Legislative Assembly election. AAP candidate Rajesh Rishi won the seat, defeating BJPās Ashish Sood with 14,917 votes, while Khera secured 2,084 votes.

Ā On 5 May 2024, Khera quit Congress, claiming that she received criticism from party members over her visit to Ram Mandir in Ayodhya. She said that Congress was āanti-Ramā and āanti-Sanatan.ā
After quitting the party, Khera made sensational claims against Congress leadership at a press conference. She said that during Rahul Gandhi ās Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra, Sushil Anand Shukha, the Media Chairman of the Chhattisgarh Congress, offered her alcohol. She also said that Shukla and 5-6 other party workers used to knock on the door of her room after getting drunk.
At the press conference, Khera also highlighted that Shukla locked her in a room at the party office in Raipur on 30 April 2024 and abused her while arguing over the visit of senior leader Pawan Khera the following day. Khera claimed that she complained to the party leaders Sachin Pilot , Bhupesh Baghel , and Jairam Ramesh, but they took no action. She said that Congress started attacking her from the day she put Lord Ramās flag at her house after she visited Ram Mandir in March 2024.
Meanwhile, Chhattisgarh Congress Committee chief Deepak Baij said that Khera had mixed a party matter with religion for no reason.
