Some Lesser Known Facts About Pushpendra Saroj
Pushpendra Saroj interned at Erol Builders Private Limited part-time in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, from July 2017 to September 2017.
He worked as a sales assistant at Fuel Hospitality Limited in London for one year, i.e., from August 2017 till August 2018.
In August 2018, Pushpendra joined Off to Work in London as a salesperson. He worked there till June 2019.
He interned as an accountant at Lucknow Mall Developers Private Limited in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, from October 2019 to March 2020.

Pushpendra decided to enter politics when his father Indrajeet lost the 2019 Lok Sabha elections in Uttar Pradesh to a BJP candidate named Vinod Kumar Sonkar. While talking about this in an interview, Pushpendra said,
My father contested the seat in 2019 and lost to BJP’s Vinod Kumar Sonkar. This time, I was appointed, and the BJP candidate said I defeated your father last time and now I’ll defeat you.’
After turning 25 in 2024, he met Samajwadi Party President Akhilesh Yadav and convinced him to let him contest the 2024 Lok Sabha elections instead of his father. Pushpendra was then given the ticket to contest the elections.

Pushpendra defeated the BJP candidate Vinod Kumar Sonkar by a margin of 1,03,944 votes in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, which he contested from the Kaushambi constituency.

After being elected to the 18th Lok Sabha, he became one of India’s youngest Members of Parliament and got one of the largest victory margins among the young parliamentarians.
