Purnima Pandey is an Indian weightlifter who has competed in many national and international competitions.
Beginning gymnastics at 10 years old in Kashi Vyayamshala, Purnima Pandey later explored powerlifting; however, limited opportunities led her to shift to weightlifting at 17, when she joined the Indian Health Association in 2013.

She took part in the 31st Women Senior National Weightlifting Championships held in Patiala, Punjab, from 25 to 29 December 2015. Continuing her journey, she joined the 11th Youth (Girls) National Weightlifting Championships in Patna, Bihar, on 22 February 2016.
In 2016, she ventured onto the international stage, competing in the 2016 IWF Youth World Championship held in Penang, Malaysia, from 18 to 25 October. In the same year, she secured the 6th position in the +75 kg category at the 2016 Commonwealth Senior Women Championships in Penang, Malaysia, from 24 to 29 October.

She represented India in the 18th Asian Youth Girl Championship and the 23rd Women Asian Junior Championship, both held in Tokyo, Japan, from 8 to 16 November 2016.
She achieved the 4th position in the 32nd Women Senior National Weightlifting Championships held in Nagercoil, Tamilnadu, from 26 to 30 December 2016. She represented India in the 2017 Commonwealth Junior Women’s Championship held in Gold Coast, Australia, from 2 to 9 September 2017.

She secured 4th place in the 33rd Women Senior National Weightlifting Championships in Moodbidri, Mangalore, Karnataka, from 21 to 25 January 2018. In the 21st Commonwealth Games in Gold Coast, Australia, from 5 to 9 April 2018, she achieved 6th place in the +90 kg category.

She took part in the 36th Women Senior National Weightlifting Championships in Patiala, Punjab, from 10 to 12 August 2021. She secured the 10th position in the 2021 IWF Senior World Championships held in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, from 5 to 18 December 2021, competing in the +87 kg category.
