Prosenjit Chatterjee first appeared in his fatherâs production movie âChhoto Jiggashaâ (1966) at the age of just 4 as a child artist.
Before becoming an actor, he was a part of professional theater and did many plays.
He also did radio plays and dramas.
At the age of 16, he got a lead role in the movie âDuti Pataâ (1983) for the first time.
He has worked in 300+ Bengali movies from past 30 years.
At Kolkata in the year 1994, he launched ZEE Bangla channel on behalf of Zee Network and at that time there was not even a single Bengali satellite channel existing except Doordarshan.
In 2004, he has a record of 22 releases in a year and his average yearly releases were 18 to 19.
He also worked in Hindi movies as a lead role.
He has worked with Bollywood famous actresses such as Vijayeta, Aishwarya Rai , Juhi Chawla , Manisha Koirala , Konkona Sen , Raima Sen , Riya Sen , Bipasha Basu , Sameera Reddy and many more.
