Controversy Sidhi Pee Case
In June 2023, a distressing incident occurred at the Kubari market in Sidhi district, where a viral video depicted Pravesh Shukla allegedly urinating on a tribal laborer while in an intoxicated state. Shockingly, he was observed smoking a cigarette during the act. The victim, identified as Dasmat Ravat, a 36-year-old resident of Karaundi village, became the target of this unfortunate incident. In response to the online outrage that followed, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan ordered the apprehension of Pravesh Shukla on the night of July 4, 2023, invoking the stringent National Security Act (NSA) as a measure against him. Providing confirmation of Shukla's arrest, Superintendent of Police Ravindra Verma of Sidhi mentioned during a media conversation that an FIR had been lodged against Shukla. The charges included section 294 (using obscene language), 504 (intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of peace), and relevant sections of the SC/ST Act. After the video went viral, leaders of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) distanced themselves from Pravesh Shukla, while the Opposition Congress party alleged his association with Kedarnath Shukla, a BJP MLA. Ramakant Shukla, Pravesh's father, also claimed that his son was the representative of Kedarnath Shukla. In an interview, Ramakant stated:

"He is a representative of the BJP MLA, which is why he is being targeted by the opposition. I hope there is a thorough investigation in the case, and justice is served."_

However, Kedarnath Shukla denied the allegations, clarifying:

"Pravesh was never a representative of mine. I just know him."_

Amidst the escalating controversy, an affidavit was presented on behalf of the victim, emphasizing that there was no conflict between him and Pravesh Shukla. The victim firmly believed that the viral video was fabricated. check sources
