Some Lesser Known Facts About Pratika Rawal
Pratika’s cricketing journey began in the fourth standard. She was encouraged to pursue cricket professionally by his father, a BCCI-certified Level-I umpire of the Delhi & District Cricket Association (DDCA).

Pratika’s father took her to the Rohtak Road Gymkhana Cricket Academy to train under the veteran coach Sharvan Kumar. His father said in an interview that she often used to go along with him for his matches. He further said,
Whenever I would go for my matches, she would accompany me, and that’s how it started. That’s when she started going to the academy for training,”
Pratika used to train with boys at the cricket academy as she was the only girl in the batch. She was also the first girl to train at the academy.
Apart from cricket, Pratika also used to play basketball in school. In January 2019, she won a gold medal at the 64th School National Games in Delhi while representing Bal Bharati School in Rajender Nagar.

Pratika obtained 92.5 per cent marks in the CBSE 12th board exams. She scored 93 in English and Psychology, 89 in Political Science, 95 in Economics and 88 in Physical Education.
Pratika made her List A debut for Delhi against Jharkhand on 31 October 2021 in the 2021–22 Senior Women’s One Day Trophy. During this season, she scored 247 from seven matches with an average of 49.40 which also included the unbeaten innings of 161 runs off 155 balls against Assam
On 21 April 2022, Pratika made her Twenty20 debut for Delhi against Railways in the 2021–22 Senior Women’s T20 Trophy.
Pratika led the Delhi side to the final of the 2024 Under-23 T20 Trophy. She played nine matches in the tournament and scored 182 and ended up as the second-highest run-scorer for her team after Tanisha Singh.
On 3 April 2024, Pratika made her first-class debut for North Zone against East Zone in the 2023–24 Senior Women’s Inter Zonal Multi-Day Trophy.
Pratika became the 150th ODI cricketer for India when she made her ODI debut for the Indian women’s cricket team. She scored 40 runs and made a 110-run partnership with Smriti Mandhana in the match.

On 24 December 2024, Pratika took her first international wicket dismissing West Indies captain Hayley Matthews in the second match of the ODI series against West Indies.
Pratika’s maiden ODI century came against Ireland on 15 January 2025 at Niranjan Shah Stadium in Rajkot; she scored 154 runs in the match.
