In the late 1990s, it was reported that Pratibha was so deeply in love with a music director named Nadeem Saifi that she sacrificed her career for him. It was also reported that Pratibha’s mother Mala Sinha opposed their relationship and she forcefully went to Chennai with Pratibha where she could monitor Pratibha and stop her from talking to Nadeem.
It was also said that Pratibha Sinha eloped with Nadeem Saifi after her mother went against their relationship. Pratibha’s mother Mala Sinha held a press conference and accused the music director of kidnapping and raping her daughter Pratibha Sinha.
It was in 2000 that Pratibha Sinha decided to quit acting due to constant flop films.
