Some Lesser Known Facts About Prashant Kumar
 In 1990, he became an Indian Police Service Officer in the Tamil Nadu cadre; however, in 1994, he got himself transferred to the Uttar Pradesh cadre.
During his stint as the Additional Director General of Police of Meerut Zone, he played an important role in catching the criminals involved in a kidnapping incident of Dr Shrikant Gaur, a doctor of Metro Hospital, Delhi.

Prashant Kumar coordinated with the Delhi Police and SSP of Meerut to rescue Shrikant and put the kidnappers behind bars.
He is also known as the ‘Encounter Specialist.’ According to various reports, he had done around 300 encounters until 2023.
Prashant Kumar led Operation Clean in Meerut and under this operation, he encountered various criminals and gangs like Sanjeev Jeeva , Kagga Gang, and Mukeem Kala.
Prashant Kumar was personally deployed by the Chief Minister of the state Yogi Adityanath to Meerut to deal with high-profile criminals.
