Prashant Damle is an Indian actor, producer, and comedian, who predominantly works in the Marathi theatre, film, and TV industries. He is famous for his acting in the Marathi theatrical productions.
At the age of 17, he began his acting career.
During his school and college days, he actively took part in stage performances. One notable opportunity came during his college years when he was offered a role in a Marathi play called “Tur Tur.” He gained attention after acting in the play and started receiving offers to work in commercial Marathi theatre.
After his theatrical debut, he appeared as a college student in a comedy play titled ‘Moruchi Mavshi,’ a Hindi adaptation of the English play ‘Charley’s Aunt’ by Brandon Thomas.

When he was a struggling theatre actor, he received an opportunity to play the lead role in the comedy-drama play called ‘Bramhachari,’ which was offered to him by Sudhir Bhat, the founder of Suyog Productions.
Some of the notable Marathi theatrical productions and stage plays in which he has appeared are ‘Gela Madhav Kunikade’ (1993), ‘Lekure Udand Jhali’ (1995), ‘Priyatama’ (1996), ‘Eka Lagnachi Pudhchi Goshta’ (1999), ‘Amhi Doghe Raja Rani’ (2003), and ‘Olakh Na Palakh’ (2008).
In 1989, he appeared in the Marathi film ‘Atmavishwas’ as Abhay Mangalkar.
He played the role of Dinesh Kirtikar, an assistant anaesthetist, who is known for his great sense of humour, in the 1993 Marathi comedy-drama film ‘Savat Mazi Ladki.’
In 2012, he established ‘Theatre School of Performing Arts’ in Pune.

He is the founder of the ‘Prashanth Fan Foundation,’ a foundation dedicated to social welfare initiatives. As part of his philanthropic efforts, he donated Rs 1 lakh to the Maharashtra government to support their water program.
In May 2013, he experienced a mild heart attack while rehearsing for the Marathi play ‘Eka Lagnachi Pudhchi Goshta.’ He was immediately taken to Andheri Hospital for medical treatment. Following an angiography, it was discovered that he had four blockages in the arteries supplying blood to his heart. In 2014, he worked in Sony SAB’s Hindi comedy TV series titled ‘Chandrakant Chiplunkar Seedi Bambawala’ in which he played the role of the protagonist named Chandrakant Chiplunkar, a fire brigade employee.
In 2018, he played the role of Shekhar Pradhan, Gautam’s father, in the popular Marathi romantic drama film ‘Mumbai-Pune-Mumbai 3.’
